mamnoon means grateful. modern and elevated regional lebanese, syrian and persian dishes with seasonal, pacific northwest flair. We opened in 2012 on Capitol Hill in Seattle to share the warm hospitality and delicious cuisine that owners Racha and Wassef Haroun grew up with in Syria and Lebanon.
After winning Seattle Met's Restaurant of the Year in 2013 and scoring a visit from Anthony Bourdain's Parts Unknown in 2017, mamnoon became the mothership of a family of restaurants — mbar, mamnoon street, mamnooncita and hanoon — collectively known as the mama restaurant group.
Sunday September 14th 2025 was mamnoon's last service. Thank you for everything, Seattle.
Ultimately, the story is not ending but moving onto a new chapter. Our mamnoon fine foods mezze products are sold at over 100 markets in Seattle, Washington and Oregon, which was our way of extending our food to your table during the pandemic. We'd love to continue to be a part of your table spread.

Racha and Wassef Haroun decided to open mamnoon because they wanted to share with Seattle the warm hospitality and delicious healthy cuisine that they grew up with in Syria and Lebanon.
Although Racha and I are Syrians, we have been in the Seattle area for more of our life than in the Levant. We have deep cultural roots but consider ourselves just as much Seattleites as Syrians.
Over the years, we've successfully adopted the culture here, and blended it with our roots. We wanted our mamnoon, hanoon, mamnoon street, mamnooncita and mbar projects to reflect that and to be an example of how Levantine cuisine can move forward without losing its roots, or what makes it special. We've been proud to have championed levantine culinary expression in the US since 2012, and we hope you feel at home, or transported, in all of our charming spaces.
